Scene Rendering Method To A ect Motion
نویسندگان
چکیده
Techniques to generate novel scenes have been proposed in computer vision research. In addition, there have been a lot of 3D models written in VRML for viewing on the WWW. However, the depth of 3D images cannot easily be sensed without special hardware such as HMDs and without special equipment, e.g., shutter and poralized glasses. In this paper, a method is proposed that uses motion parallax as a depth cue to let users perceive the 3D structures of models rendered into images. In this method, the user's head is tracked and the motion parameters are estimated by using a computer vision technique. Then, the 3D object is rendered from the estimated eye position as a new viewpoint. The system has been build on an SGI O2 workstation with its mounted camera used for head tracking. The experimental results are very good; users feel as if the 3D objects are placed in front of the screen of the monitor.

Hardware Accelerated Motion Blur Generation
Motion blur occurs in photography by the motion of objects during the finite exposure time that the camera shutter remains open for to record the image on film. The traditional method of rendering a motion blur with a computer is to render the scene at many discrete time instances in every frame. In this paper, we present an efficient motion blur generation method that leverages modern commodit...
متن کاملEditing Real World Scenes: Augmented Reality with Image-based Rendering
We present a method that using only an uncalibrated camera allows the capture of object geometry and appearance, and then at a later stage registration and AR overlay into a new scene. Using only image information first a coarse object geometry is obtained using structure-from-motion, then a dynamic, view dependent texture is estimated to account for the differences between the reprojected coar...
متن کاملImage Based Rendering in Computer Graphics
The fields of computer vision and computer graphics are, in some sense, the duals of each other. In computer vision the goal is to extract information about a 3D scene from a single image or many images of the scene taken from different viewpoints, while the main goal of a computer graphics system is to generate 2D images (or a sequence of 2D images in the case of computer animation) from 3D da...
متن کاملAn Improved Motion Vector Estimation Approach for Video Error Concealment Based on the Video Scene Analysis
In order to enhance the accuracy of the motion vector (MV) estimation and also reduce the error propagation issue during the estimation, in this paper, a new adaptive error concealment (EC) approach is proposed based on the information extracted from the video scene. In this regard, the motion information of the video scene around the degraded MB is first analyzed to estimate the motion type of...
متن کاملVirtual Reality Motion Parallax with the Facebook Surround-360
Interest in acquiring and viewing natural scenes in full 360degree immersion has led to the development of camera rigs which capture images for 360-degree stereo rendering. Most such platforms capture a scene for viewing from a single vantagepoint and do not incorporate motion parallax. Methods for scene acquisition which do support motion parallax, such as concentric mosaics or free viewpoint ...
